U NIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING (UDL) Identifies barriers in learning and removes them Accessible to all students Uses student’s interests, abilities, learning styles, strengths, readiness, and needs. Focus is what the students learn now how the teacher wants them to learn it The more learning options, the better chances the students will learn. Using tiered assignments Offers multiple means of media and multiple means of showing what they know. Representation, Action and Expression, and Engagement are the components of UDL.
