/habitat.ro 2016 is the 8 th year when we are celebrating World Habitat Day in Romania through BIG BUILD Together with more than 800 international and Romanian volunteers, artists and politicians, we will build 40 houses in only 5 days in Bacau. 1,200 volunteers will work in the pre-event, to set up the construction site. The beneficiary families will work together with the volunteers at building their own houses. On the first day, on site, there will be only the foundations, and in the fifth day, the families will receive the houses’ keys. World Habitat Day as declared by the UN is celebrated every first Monday of October. In 2016, it will be on October 3 rd

Almost 100 riders will leave from Bucharest and camp in Bacau next to the site. They will work 2 days (17-19 June) at the foundations.
