Scramble Intentions Intent to be similar to Ryder Cup competition  Army Team against a Navy Team  Each team player is representing their academy, awaiting “captains” to make the pairing decisions Great for INTRA academy fellowshipping during round  Each foursome group will have 2 Army vs 2 Navy players in a stroke play competition Great for INTER academy fellowshipping during round  2 person pairings Player Pairings to be decided by Army and Navy “captains” Pairing decision announcements  Preliminary pairing decision; 1 week prior to tournament  Final decision; day of tournament

Format and Pairing Assignments Format  2 person scramble with score adjusted per pairing’s handicap Both hit shot, take better position, both hit from that better spot, repeat til holed out NO requirement to use high handicapper’s drive, but should use their drive when appropriate Record pairing score per hole; apply pairing handicap to total at end  Show both gross score and net score after handicap applied Pairing assignments will primarily be driven by handicap  Lowest handicapped player to be paired with highest handicapped player  And so on, with the next lowest paired with the next highest  Pairing handicap will be 90% of low handicap + 10% of high handicap Example: 4 handicapper paired with 28 handicapper ( = 6.4 pair h/c)  Hardship exceptions for specific pairings may be made on a case by case basis (but please keep the deviation request limited to true hardships)

Primary Award Tabulations  1 team point for each 2v2 pairing win;  Best pairing net score gets 1 st place and 4 team points  Next best pairing net score gets 2 nd place and 3 team points  Next best pairing net gets 3 rd place and 2 team points  If an odd number of foursomes, then points will be 3,2,1 (to avoid a tie)  Any pairing ties will be broken via scorecard hole playoff Opposing Pairings (or Captains) pick a number between 0 and 9, then add both to determine starting hole for scorecard playoff The Team tournament winner (Army or Navy) will be determined by total net points of top 5 pairing scores and number of matches won  Example (10 foursomes = 10 matches) Army pairings win 4 of 10 matches = 4 points Army pairing best scores take 1 st place and 3 rd place = 8 points; Army total 12 Navy pairings win 6 of 10 matches = 6 points Navy pairing best scores take 2 nd place = 7 points ; Navy total 13 points; So Navy wins
