Compliance Assistance Packet Update Brian Veit 2015

What does the Compliance Assistance Packet Cover? O The compliance assistance (CA) packet covers the more common regulations governing hazardous waste generators and universal waste handlers. O This includes both State and Federal regulations. O It provides valuable information regarding disposal companies, waste reduction, links to State and Federal regulations, emergency preparedness and reporting, links to sign up for regulatory updates, and much more.

What was updated? O All links were checked and updated as needed. O The satellite accumulation regulations were removed from the packet but a link was created to access the regulations. O Some of the regulation summaries were reworded but no substantial changes were made.

What didn’t change? O The summary tables were not changed for hazardous wastes or universal wastes. O The hazardous waste large quantity generator (LQG), small quantity generator (SQG) and conditionally exempt small quantity generators (CESQG) requirements did not change. O Universal waste small quantity handlers (SQH) and large quantity handler (LQH) requirements have also not changed.

How do I get to the packet? O You can get a copy of the CA packet by clicking here: %20Master.pdf %20Master.pdf O Or by visiting the Hazardous Waste Home page at: O On the right hand side of this page under Divisions and programs click on hazardous waste. O Click on more information on hazardous waste link near bottom of the page O On the right hand side of the center column of this page there is a list of links and you will find the CA packet link there.

Please take note!! O It is important to know that not all applicable regulations are covered in this packet; however, there are links to the regulations (both State and Federal) that should be review to ensure your facility is aware of all regulatory requirements. O Additionally it is important to know that if you have trouble understand the regulations or if need help determining whether your facility is operating in compliance with regulations that you can contact the NJDEP Bureau of Hazardous and request a compliance assistant visit.

How do I request for a Compliance Assistance Visit. O Northern (Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren) O Jeffrey Sterling, Supervisor O Central (Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union) O Joseph Mirabella, Supervisor O Southern (Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem) O Jeffrey Salabritas, Supervisor
