Quickwrite What is attitude? Write about a time when you had either a positive or negative attitude. Describe what was going on and how you felt.

Attitude is a person’s thoughts and feelings about something. Look above. How is this a nonlinguistic representation of the word attitude? ATTITUDE

ATTITUDE The arrow on the left has a positive attitude because it won’t hang out with the other arrows that are negative.

Quickwrite When was the last time you (or someone you know) were left out of something you really wanted to participate in – like not being invited to a party or not making the sports team? Describe the situation and how you or he/she felt.
