ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING

FACULTY MISSION The mission of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Częstochowa University of Technology as an academic unit in a public university is to actively support Polish society to learn and develop the knowledge-based economy through high-level education of future engineers and experts in the field of civil engineering. Based on the principles of truth, freedom of science, respect for work, views and human rights and dignity, this process is expected to be using the most updated knowledge of scientific research, creative and professional output of our academic staffs and consistent cooperation with other academic centres abroad.

FACULTY PRIORITIES Priority 1. - Development of social capital The Faculty Mission is consistent with the Mission defined in the Strategy of Development for Częstochowa University for approved with the decisions of the University's Senate No. 330/2011/2012 and 418/2011/2012, while the Faculty's objectives are consistent with the University's objectives contained in the same document and the Statute of Częstochowa University of Technology. INFRASTRUCTURE The Faculty of Civil Engineers is located in a building with surface space of 4,543 square metres and volume of 17,935 cubic metres in ul. Akademicka 3, Częstochowa, Poland. The building is included in a group of buildings of the Częstochowa University of Technology integrated with its campus. The building facilities include offices of individual departments and administration and didactic facilities such as lecture rooms, classes, laboratory or Faculty's library. Didactic rooms include: - 3 lecture rooms with seating capacity of from 62 to 94 places for students - 8 exercise rooms with seating capacity of from 16 to 58 places for students The rooms are mainly equipped in basic multimedia equipment The Faculty also uses the lecture rooms in other faculties of the Częstochowa University of Technology

GRADUATE PROFILE Graduates from the Faculty of Civil Engineering is prepared for solving problems of programming, organization and management of building enterprises and designing of concrete, steel and wooden structures. They also have theoretical and practical competencies of planning and using building structures, performing repair works, modernization and extension of buildings. Furthermore, the graduates are also prepared for scientific and research work in the field of civil engineering.
