Teaching and Learning Stage based collaborative planning Inquiry based units of work 5 weeks in duration (2 per term) Content focus: Personal Development/Health, Science, Geography, History English - integrated into the inquiry unit Maths - programmed separately CAPA - programmed separately through rotating CAPA group RFF - Physical Education Library - literacy and research skills
Equipment Thank you for providing the requested equipment Please ensure students come prepared for class Equipment must be labeled (where possible) and stored in one reasonably sized pencil case Replace equipment as required Optional items – USB, calculator, textas
Homework Essential for developing positive work habits and reinforcing key concepts Weekly literacy and numeracy task Additional tasks to support the classroom program may also be set e.g. research, projects etc Internet access may be required, if this is not possible teachers will provide an alternative or students may use the school lab at designated breaks Problems? Encourage your child to speak to their teacher.
Student Diaries Student diaries are to be bought to school each day Store diary and any notes inside plastic document wallet Teachers may record any minor incidents in diary – please sign Teachers will check student diaries each Monday
