Tuesday, October 6 Open the envelope on your desk. Read the activity on each slip of paper. Work together with your group members to put these items into a logical order. Re-read each activity. –On your own sheet of paper, write down a list of activities that you will need to complete in order to finalize your product.

Describe the product that you are going to create. If there is more than one part, make sure to describe each one. –Use the description that you have already created and put in your Topic & Product Approval Application. –You should probably add additional details to this description. –Should be written in complete sentences.

Sample Description I plan on designing and implementing my own landscaping design in a neighbor’s yard. I will do this by researching what grows best in our climate/soil type, asking the client for his/her preferences in color and style of plants/flowers, purchasing the materials needed to complete the design, and implementing the design. I will document this by compiling my interview questions and responses, my initial sketches and plans of the design, and photographs depicting the process of design implementation into a scrapbook.

Explain how your product relates to the research topic that you are working with. –This is CRUCIAL! It must relate, and you must be able to explain how it relates! –Should be written in complete sentences.

Sample Relationship Description I chose to research the benefits of landscape design; these benefits include helping the environment, beautifying the community, and improving property value. My product will be creating and implementing my own design which will hopefully benefit the homeowner as well as our community.

List the skills you will need and improve as you are working on this product. –What people skills are you learning/mastering? –What computer skills are you learning/mastering? –What technical skills are you learning/mastering? –Will be written in a list
