Everything and e veryone

Meet Mary Jackson and her family

Climate change is making life harder for Mary In Malawi, where Mary lives, it’s becoming harder to predict when rain will come and how much will fall Many women like Mary rely on the rain to grow food for their children When the rain comes, it’s often too little too late

For the love of our brothers and sisters… The Scottish Government needs to act on climate change …and so do we

“A way has to be found to enable everyone to benefit from the fruits of the earth” Pope Francis

We need to think about how our lifestyles drive climate change The average person in the UK is responsible for 79 times the amount of CO2 as someone in Malawi

Together, we can tackle climate change Walk more, drive less Cycle or use public transport Share journeys with friends and family

If everyone in Scotland drove just 5 miles less every week over the course of a year, that would be the equivalent of taking 70,000 cars off the road for a year.

Discussion questions Why do we need to do something about climate change? Are there things in your life that you could do to cut your carbon footprint? Are there any journeys that you and your family take by car that you could replace with walking or public transport? What could you do as a school?
