Photosynthesis Cahill Ellenwood Taylar Kauffman
What Happens During Photosynthesis? The first stage is where CO2 enters the plants leaves through the stomata
What Happens During Photosynthesis? During the second stage of photosynthesis, water enters the plants through the root system Water molecules
What Happens During Photosynthesis? In the third stage of photosynthesis, the sun causes a chemical change.
What Happens During Photosynthesis? In the fourth stage of photosynthesis, the plant makes food (sugar.)
What Happens During Photosynthesis? In the fifth and final stage, O2 is released from the plant through its leaves O2 being released
Photosynthesis Equation
Respiration Respiration – when a plant goes through a process to make food and use the stored food for energy.
Respiration Equation C 6 H 12 O O2= 6 CO2+ 6 H2O
The Process The first part is when glucose and oxygen mix together This causes the plant to give off CO2 and H2O H2O and CO2 is released
The Process The second part, is when the plant gives of Carbon dioxide and water then it makes energy (ATP) to make the plant grow. Energy is stored in the chloroplasts (the little circles)
Respiration Examples Fruit, like an apple, when not used it rots and the seeds that have all of the energy stored are protected by the fruit. Once it is able to be planted, the seeds fall onto the ground to start another plant
