Long List Workshop – Option 1 Clinical Theme & Benefit Hot/Cold split in completed build Trauma/Neurosciences provided as first stage Demolish Barry Building to enable re-provision of Cancer in Stage 2 Technical Issues Car Park either underground or on the future expansion site Replacement of Data Centre at Stage 2 Energy Centre probably located on main site Helipad structure needs to be approximately 1 floor above Stage 1 building Existing Cancer building forms retaining structure for the public highway. Decant Strategy Latilla site needs to be cleared at Stage 1 – Offices to be decanted off site. Clinical inpatient wards within Jubilee building need to be decanted – will be located either on RSCH or PRH site. Provisional Programme from final approval Decant – Complete after ¾ year (41 weeks) Once Decant is completed, construction commences Stage 1 – Complete after 3½ years (161 weeks) Stage 2 – Complete after just over 5 years (262 weeks) Total – Just under 6 years (303 weeks) Cost Ranking 1 of 5 (most expensive)

Long List Workshop – Option 3 Clinical Theme & Benefit Hot/Cold split achieved Demolish Barry Building to provide a future expansion space Cancer re-provided at Stage 1 across catering site Catering block needs to be re-provided Cancer site is tight – LINACS may need to be provided over 2 floors – staffing and cost issues Trauma/Neurosciences provided at final stage after 257 weeks Technical Issues Data Centre needs to be re-provided as advance works Energy Centre can be located on Rosaz House site Helipad structure needs to be installed 1 storey above Stage 2 building Service road severed – Extensive services within the existing road to and from existing and retained buildings (RACH – interface with PFI) will need to be re-provided with no loss of service – The Catering site has a large change in level – additional retaining wall will be required close to the existing RACH (PFI) and public highway –Car park probably installed below ground Decant Strategy Latilla site needs to be cleared at Stage 1 – Offices to be decanted off site. Link bridge required from Barry Building to RACH whilst stage 1 is being constructed Clinical inpatient wards within Jubilee building need to be decanted – will be located either on RSCH or PRH site. Provisional Programme from final approval Decant – Complete after ¾ year (41 weeks) Once Decant is completed, construction commences Stage 1 – Complete after 2 years (106 weeks) Stage 2 – Complete after 51/4 years (274 weeks) Total – Just over 6 years (315 weeks) Cost Ranking 2 of 5
