Pupils usually experience one period of Mathematics on their transition days.
Pupils will be taught in form classes for practical subjects and classes consisting of approximately 1.5 form classes for non practical subjects. Mixed ability with whole class teaching. Resources are differentiated to ensure we GIRFEC (Get It Right For Every Child) Study support is available one lunchtime per week for all S1 pupils – additional guidance, consolidation, reinforcement.
Held for S1 parents and pupils early in the first term. Informed parents of the S1 Mathematics Curriculum. How they could support their child and support available within the Department. Suitable websites to develop numeracy skills. Feedback was very positive.
