Community Priorities Warwickshire Police is obliged to protect communities from harm in line with the ‘Police Priorities’. This may mean that in exceptional circumstances SNT officers may be required to work on other policing priorities. If this happens there will be a need to re-negotiate priorities. This will be done in liaison with the Chair and the panel.

Community Priorities from Thursday 1 st July 2014 Speeding, A4189, Claverdon, 30mph section ASB Patrols, Jubilee Play Area and the Medical Centre, Henley in Arden Summer Crime Prevention Patrols in relation to burglary other offences on the Alcester North Area.

Speeding, A4189, Claverdon, 30mph section (Commitment to conduct 12 checks) 12 speed checks conducted at varying times on the A4189, Claverdon Top speed recorded was 48 mph 82 motorist captured contravening the 30mph speed restriction. Speeding motorists dealt with by way of traffic offence report, road side cautions and words of advice.

ASB Patrols, Jubilee Play Area and the Medical Centre, Henley in Arden (Commitment to conduct 30 additional targeted patrols) 38 Patrols completed in total One report of rowdy youths in the wooded area to the rear of the Jubilee Play Area. On attendance of officers there was no trace of any youths, however there was a fire found at the location which was put out by the fire service – enquiries are currently ongoing. Unknown offender/s have damaged three sections of fencing at the Jubilee Play area. A male was issued with a street caution for the possession of cannabis. Report of a wing mirror damaged whilst parked at Henley Medical Centre. This is believed to be part of a series of damage caused to wing mirrors in the town which officers are investigating – SNT and patrol units will continue to conduct high visibility patrols in the area. CCTV controllers have been made aware and are monitoring at the appropriate times. Anybody with any information should contact the police on 101.

Summer Crime Prevention Patrols in relation to burglary other offences on the Alcester North Area (Commitment to conduct 30 targeted patrols) 57 Patrols completed in total 17 x incidents reported covering the areas of Claverdon, Henley, Studley, Sambourne, Preston Bagot, Tanworth, Wootton Wawen, Earlswood and Outhill. Following a burglary at a public house in Ardens Grafton whereby offenders stole a safe, patrol officers pursued the offenders who were arrested on the A435 Portway. Victims of crime have been visited with reassurance and crime prevention advice being given

Other matters of interest: Three youths have been dealt with by way of restorative justice having caused damage to Millennium Park, Studley. Two youths have been identified for riding motorbikes in the grounds of Henley School. Appropriate words of advice has been given. Community Speed Watch is being set up in Claverdon. An offender from the Alcester North area has been apprehended for the offence of burglary in Alcester. Enquiries are currently ongoing. A shoplifter is due to be summoned to court for a theft from the Co-Op, Studley Two offenders have been convicted for burglary of Studley Cricket Club. Other News: PCSO 6065 Tristan Jelfs has been successful in his application to become a police officer and the team wish him the best of luck in his future career.

Stratford District Total Rural Stratford North Studley & Henley Town CCTV Reminder to all that we have CCTV cameras located in Studley and Henley and whilst it is not always possible to capture and provide evidence for all incidents/offences it does provide the police with invaluable avenue of enquiry and has been successful in identifying a number of incidents/offences on the Alcester North area. To make the most out of our CCTV it is essential to report any offences when they are happening on 999 so that the CCTV can operate to its maximum benefit in order to identify offender/s and assist officers.
