5 The strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home. Confucius Home is the place where, when you have to go there, They have to take you in. Robert Frost One of our deepest needs is to be at home. Timothy Radcliffe He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storms may enter; the rain may enter – but the King of England cannot enter; all his forces dare not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement. William Pitt Where thou art, that is home. Emily Dickinson Home is where the heart is. Pliny There’s no place like home. Dorothy, Wizard of Oz

11 Anecdotes Essentials Course n “I learned lots of new and concrete information, networked with people from different programs that intersect with our work.” n “[The best thing about the course] was looking at the structure of a home, learning the way a home breathes, learning how the structural errors create the base for mold, lead toxicity and environmental diseases.” n ‘[I was] able to talk with the nurses AND environmental professionals about environmental hazards of home patients.” n “I felt all the information was helpful. Doing the exercises with the housing personnel was a great learning tool. “ PEHA Training n I think the online training program... is OUTSTANDING! Not only did I complete it, but I used it with the 30 senior nursing students that I had in class last week when we discussed Vulnerable Populations: Families and Children. The online training was an EXCELLENT example of public health efforts with families and children. n I liked the combination of videos and pictures- it gave a life like feel instead of classroom type of learning. n So long as I have access to the resources discussed on the training material there is nothing you could do to improve this course. It was wonderful having the video and pictures. Obviously it is hard to assess like you would if you were there but this presentation came close. Thank you for providing this training.
