 Shared service of Rother and Wealden for Environmental Health; Food and Safety; Pollution and Licensing  Public Health now part of East Sussex County Council  Public Health England makes decisions on outbreaks  Complaints about sewage,poor housing and adulterated food still investigated  Notifiable diseases and accidents reported to Wealden DC FOOD SAFETY & LICENSING TEAM

 Animal Visitor attractions; risks to children from  E.coli and Cryptosporidium  Serious infections; E.coli STEC 0157 life threatening.  HUS and kidney damage.  Cryptosporidium is a protozoan parasite  Animal to human transmission.   good-hand-hygiene good-hand-hygiene Future

 Visits made to attractions; advise given.  Hot water, soap and means of drying hands  Serious health effect exists; enforcement action must be taken.  Industry Code of Practice  Access to Farms Network; National Trust, NFU, Soil Association, RSPB, Natural England and others. STAKEHOLDERS

 Caravan Holiday Sites  Comply with the standard conditions on safety of gas, electricity, fire, water and security.  Compliance with site licences.  42 Sites within Wealden DC STAKEHOLDERS

Camping with tents CAMPING WITH TENTS Public Health Act 1936 section 269 Licence for camping for more than 60 days or 42 consecutive days per year Standard conditions for Spacing, water, toilets, refuse, electricity and fire.
