12FACULTY OF HUMAN SCIENCES WHAT YOU WILL STUDY BEd(Secondary) requirements: All general requirements to satisfy the relevant Bachelor of Education rule, as outlined in the schedule of programs of study, must be met and include: Minimum number of credit points for the degree 72 Minimum number of credit points at 200 level or above 42 Completion of a PACE unit TEP401/TEP402 Completion of other specific minimum requirements As outlined on page 12 of the Secondary Guide

14FACULTY OF HUMAN SCIENCES FULL TIME – PART TIME WORKLOAD Full-time student: - A student who is enrolled in units in an academic year which comprise at least 0.75 of an Equivalent Full-Time Study Load for the course for which they are admitted. - Typical full time study Load is 12 credit points per session therefore 0.75 is 18cp. Workload - 1 credit point = 3 hours work per week. A 3 credit point unit will therefore require a minimum study time commitment of 9 hours per week. - Note: Session 3 – is the same workload compressed into 5 weeks!

External units can be added and deleted up to the end of Week 1 each session. You can withdraw from a unit (or your entire program) up to the end of Week 4 (26 th March in S1) without incurring academic or financial penalty.

23FACULTY OF HUMAN SCIENCES CONDITIONAL OFFERS (BED ONLY) If your offer was conditional on the completion of additional studies you must enrol in these units. Failure to do so will mean you will not be accredited with the BOSTES. If your offer was conditional on the completion of undergraduate qualifications you need to submit your transcript to Iris Chung, our UAC Admissions Advisor on 7273.

24FACULTY OF HUMAN SCIENCES RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be given for recognised studies undertaken elsewhere. When granted, RPL may count towards the credit point requirement for your degree. If you have received unspecified credit you may be able to convert it into Specified Credit (previously known as Exemptions) Students must complete an RPL application. f_prior_learning/how_to_apply/
