How to Destress the Test ….or anything

 How to children differ from adults in their expression of stress? They ways children express stress is manifested in their behavior. Children often don’t have the words to express how they are feeling. Parents and teachers can help by giving students the words to express their feelings.  How do I recognize stress versus illness? Somatic versus true illness—Pattern is the clue  How do I discuss stress with my children? Shield, Availability, Resist, Relax The Signs of Stress

 Simple activities that anyone can do that quiet the restless mind and body  Evidence based interventions that have been proven to improve attention, classroom respect and improved self care for students.  Link What is Mindfulness

 Let your student(s) know that you believe in them and their ability to handle stress.  Make sure that students are getting a good night sleep (at least 10 hours daily).
