Worked for the NAACP & the Queen’s District Attorney Became New York’s Governor in 2008 Paterson was elected by the Democratic caucus of the Senate as Minority Leader on November 20, Paterson became known for his consensus-building style coupled with sharp political skills.

Governor Paterson is currently married to the wonderful Michelle Paige Paterson. Together they have a son Alexander who is 15 years old. A daughter who is from Michelle’s previous marriage.
