Roles and Responsibilities 3 Multiple Levels of Roles and Responsibilities Identify individual project purpose and need, evaluate options, present alternatives. Develop and deliver project Highway Program Management Level Project Team Level Strategic Level - Oregon Transportation Commission (OTC) Corridor Definition and project selection & guidance Transportation policy, asset and systems operations funding allocations

Roles and Responsibilities 8 Roles of Project Teams Project Leaders*: Facilitate project team discussion and documents final decisions to determine: At what point is the design good enough/sufficient? How to maintain the right balance for the overall project/system when considering trade-offs around project decisions That decisions are being integrated appropriately and fulfill the project goals/purpose/need * The Project Leader may be a Project Leader, Project Manager, Local Agency Liaison or others assigned to lead, manage or oversee a project.

Roles and Responsibilities 9 Team members: Provide awareness of how his/her individual discipline contributes to the total project Be an active participant in developing a project solution when discussing SCOPE values integration for an individual project Be alert to shifts in the original assumptions/parameters of the project Notify project team of significant shifts to project elements that will affect the project cost and/or schedule (continued) Roles of Project Teams
