Background Increasing use of thermal water in the Carpatian-Basin in the last two decades Lack of planning and cooperation in the developments Growing rivalry among the spas Future accession of Serbia to the EU and potential competition (funds)

Aim of the project Common spa development strategy for the spas situated in the area of the main traffic route (Budapest-Belgrade) through the Hungarian-Serbian cross border region Main goals: – Development of an integrated strategy; – Cross border research and development (health tourism) – Evaluation of local conditions and formulation of differentiated objectives for spa development – Enhancement of cooperation between stakeholders
