-Shallow waters -Tropical and sub-tropical areas -Northern half of Australia through western pacific islands -Coast of Africa -Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean -Parts of Red Sea and the Persian Gulf -Give birth at around 7-10 years old -Gestation period is about 13-14

-Predators include sharks and humans -Humans hit Dugongs with boats or hunting -Sharks attack dugongs for food
My species is a butterfly species because without it, there would be lots of over grown sea grasses.
