2012 Torch Relay 8000 Torch Bearers 70 days Shining a light on Wealden: CROWBOROUGH and PEVENSEY …celebrating local heroes and communities

Responsibilities: Wealden DC Assist and advise LOCOG Event coordination, permits and licenses Clean up and waste management Event / traffic management Stewarding Support PR and marketing activities Installing the Games time ‘Look’ Community Task Force (Torch Relay steering group): – –Community Engagement – –Activities / Promotion – –Meet responsibilities as outlined in agreement – –Event safety management plan – –Traffic management planLOCOG Overall planning - over night and lunch stops, identifying the communities on route. Planning and organising the food/drink at lunch stops and sponsor promotions Immediate security around the TR group (Metropolitan Police)
