Article 1:Legislative  House of Representatives  Qualifications:  Age- 25 years old  Citizenship- at least seven years  Residency- must live in the state they represent  Elections: held every two years

House of Representatives (Continued)  Responsibilities:  Impose and collect taxes and duties  Borrow money  Regulate commerce with foreign nations and among states  Coin money  Establish post offices  Declare war  Raise and support the army and navy

Senate  Qualifications:  Age- 30 years old  Citizenship- at least nine years  Residency- must live in the state they represent  Elections: held every six years  Responsibilities:  Try all impeachments  Choose officers

Article 2: Executive Branch President and Vice President  Qualifications:  Age- 35 years old  Citizenship-must be a native born citizen  Residency-must have lived in the country for the last fourteen years  Elections: held every four years

Executive (continued)  Responsibilities:  Carry out and enforce the laws made by Congress  Make treaties with foreign nations  Appoint certain important government officials  Act as commander in chief of the armed forces  Veto laws passed by Congress

Article 3: Judicial Branch  Length of tenure: life or until they retire  Responsibilities:  Use their best judgment to decide cases  Make decisions without fear of losing their jobs  Hear cases and make decisions
