OTHER ITEMS ARE ALSO REQUIRED. WE’LL TALK ABOUT THOSE IN PERSON WHEN WE MEET OR, IF TIME PERMITS, TODAY!

TIMELINE  step 1: generate idea and complete (draft) title and catalog description, program requirements table, evidence of need, labor market data and local programs in area  step 2: meet with faculty curriculum coordinator  step 3: complete the rest of application and LAORC forms  step 4: division/department approval. Your division should not approve the program unless all of the paperwork has been completed. for CTE programs, the division and department must not approve the program without labor market data and advisory board approval in place.  step 5: local approval (C & I, AA, BoT) for CTE programs advisory board approval required prior to local approval  step 6 (CTE only): consortium approval  step 7; Chancellor’s Office Approval  step 8: publish in catalog/award programs to students! Note—you can potentially hedge your bets and get your paperwork submitted prior to division approval but talk to C & I co-chairs to let us know what’s going on before you do this…
