Beta Club Meeting February 4 th 2015

Reminders Have you checked in with your VP of Membership? When you plan to be absent for any reason (excused or not) please give WRITTEN notification to your VP of Membership so that it will be noted in the minutes. We meet once a month (first Thursday of every month) in the Auditorium at 3:40. (8 out of 9 meetings are MANDATORY. Failure to attend will result in dismissal.) Leave your area better than you found it at the end of the meeting.

Service Projects Easter Egg Lions Field 3/26/16 ▫10 volunteers ▫9:00 Working Optimist Club Pancake Breakfast: 3/5/16 ▫7:00am-11:00am (2 shifts 7-9 & 9-11) ▫Available sign ups: 6 students per shift (12 slots) ▫Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of North Augusta  Tasks: Take tickets, bus tables, make pancakes, etc. ▫Will earn 1 BC sponsored Service Project

Service Projects North Augusta School of Dance & RECing Crew ▫June 1 st & 4 th ▫Times will be announced Special Olympics 4/1/16 ▫Midland Valley HS ▫30 people 8:15-12:30 ▫Three different tables, sand art, tattoos, stamp art Friends of the Library Book Sale 4/13-14/16 ▫Set up for the sale ▫Times will be announced at the next meeting

Convention Reminders What to pack: ▫PANTS (leggings are NOT pants), under shirt, toiletries, breakfast snacks, drinks, etc. ▫Beta Club Pin Leaving: ▫Buses are pulling OUT at 7:00am next Friday 2/12/16…WE WILL LEAVE YOU! Food: Water will be provided, bring soda if you want it ▫Friday: Breakfast on your own  Lunch: BRING BAG LUNCH  Dinner: provided chicken strip, chips, and cookies ▫Saturday: Breakfast on your own  Lunch: stop by outlets/food court  Dinner: provided pizza, chips and cookies ▫Sunday: Breakfast on your own  Lunch: stop at Florence Mall food court

Convention Reminders Review Rooming and Bus lists General rules ▫Cannot switch or change bus or rooming situations ▫Buddy system: 2 people at a time ▫Rooms: Cannot be in other non-NAHS students’ rooms and cannot be in opposite gender rooms ▫Check ins: Must check in with chaperone at every session or meeting ▫Lights out: midnight, checked by chaperone ▫T-shirts: must be worn at all times, wear undershirt not jackets

Convention Reminders General Rules continued: ▫Failure to violate ANY Beta Club, NAHS, or ACPSD rule will result in disciplinary action on the trip and upon returning through NAHS administration. ▫Must wear shirt to dance ▫Keep rooms clean and tidy ▫Financially responsible for any damages ▫Turn in toiletries Sunday am for Ronald McDonald House Charities ▫Electronic etiquette: no cell phones during sessions, AT ALL, it will be confiscated!

Convention Meetings Monday: 2/8/16: Set meeting Tuesday: 2/9/16: Campaign Skit practice Wednesday 2/10/16: Everyone will meet be for final touches and getting ready to leave Thursday: 2/11/16: FINAL DRESS REHEARSAL for Skit and Talent, and anyone helping with set!
