 Pupil premium was introduced in 2011 by the Government to raise the achievement of disadvantaged pupils, these children included children on free school meals and who were looked after.  In 2012, this was extended to all pupils who have been eligible for free schools meals within the last 6 years.  Ofsted inspections report on how schools’ use of the funding affects the attainment of their disadvantaged pupils.  The government also hold schools to account through performance tables, which include data on: -the attainment of the pupils who attract the funding -the progress made by these pupils -the gap in attainment between disadvantaged pupils and their peers

 Our end of KS2 data for 2014 showed no significant difference in the progress of pupil premium pupils compared with non-pupil premium pupils  The whole school progress data for 2014, shows the main area to improve is: accelerating the progress of pupil premium pupils in maths in most year groups

 Small group tuition with one of two intervention teachers (1 teacher has been absent for most of the Autumn term) This has been mainly focused on Year 6.  One to one learning mentor support from 2 learning mentors  Intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy  Dedicated members of support staff who are trained to delivery intervention sessions in numeracy- ECC in Yr2,3 and 6.
