PCC Finance Committee of Associated Students Modified and monitored the Associated Students (AS) budget to ensure maximized and most efficient distribution Helped plan expenditures for the fiscal/academic year and approved them prior to submission to the AS Executive Board Collaborated with committee members during weekly meetings to discuss future events relevant to the field of business affairs

Benefits of Joining the Finance Committee Met talented and hard-working individuals who shared the same passion as me and motivated/inspired me to become more involved with PCC Maintained an innovate mentality when it came to evaluating funding requests and determining allocations for school clubs and scholarships Established a strong networking connection for myself to show businesses and employers my commitment and dedication beyond my class curriculum

ePortfolio Midterm Reflection An experience that made me feel most successful this semester was visiting the Frank Gehry exhibition in preparation for my in-class midterm essay. The essay topic was on informing a friend on reasons to visit the Gehry exhibition, a museum that showcases various sketches and models made by Frank Gehry, a Canadian-American architect known for postmodern designs. Before writing the essay, the entire class was given the opportunity to visit the exhibition to get an idea on what to write about. I decided to seize this chance because I heard that learning outside the classroom is an effective strategy to obtain knowledge. I have learned things that I could not have learned inside the classroom. The striking yet enthralling masterpieces that were all displayed in a refined environment fascinated me. The Gehry exhibition featured over 200 exclusive drawings and 65 models that have established Frank Gehry as one of the world’s notable architects. I was amazed on how much I learned simply by visiting the museum, such as Gehry’s defining deconstructivism that involved ideas of manipulation of a structure’s surface and curvy shapes. I felt extremely prepared to take the midterm after being inspired by Gehry’s original designs and gaining a distinct perspective on how Gehry came to success. After applying what I have seen and learned, I ended up getting an A on the paper. I am proud to call this my most successful experience, especially since it was outside a classroom environment.
