Apple Iphone

To cover price of the product is affected by environmental factors legislation, ethics or market competition.

price of the product The price of the product is £159 on contract or £400 on pay as you go. Apple have kept chemicals that will do harm to the environment.

The environment Safer batteries Apple phased out the use of Nickel-Cadmium batteries in Today Apple uses alkaline- and lithium-based batteries that do not contain lead, mercury, or cadmium. Removing Toxic Chemicals, Apple recognizes the need for environmentally responsible production, including the use of recycled and bio-based materials and the elimination of environmentally hazardous substances.

Safer for the environment Substances banned from manufacturing Chlorinated organic solvents (e.g., dichloromethane, methyltrichloride, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, etc.) Chlorofluorocarbons CFCs/HCFCs/Halons as prioritized under the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer Lead: Apple completely eliminated the use of lead containing cathode-ray tube monitors in Apple also eliminated lead in batteries years ahead of the European battery directive. Apple’s plastic parts, paint, and packaging material do not contain lead. Brominated Flame Retardants (BFRs): In addition to eliminating TBBP-A and other BFRs in printed circuit board laminates, Apple is also eliminating all bromine containing compounds typically found in flexible printed circuits, connectors, electrical components, plastic enclosures, adhesives, insulators and other parts.

BFR-free and PVC-free: Apple is on track to eliminate BFRs and PVC from all new product designs by end of 2008.

Substitution Milestones 1991 –Lead in batteries banned –CFCs in manufacturing restricted –NiCd batteries phased-out –PVC in packaging phased-out –Lead and cadmium cables restricted –Halogenated flame retardants restricted in enclosure parts >25g.

2004 –Phase-out of RoHS substances initiated –Products comply with European RoHS Directive worldwide –First products shipped with bromine-free printed circuit board laminates –Renewable tapioca-based material first integrated into product packaging –First products to reach EPEAT Gold are introduced.
