SREX Coverage of Extreme Events heat waves drought, especially in the south coastal region extreme rainfall in uplands extreme events in cities typhoons and tropical storms, with storm surges in the central coast region, floods in the Mekong Delta and other lowlands coastal and river bank erosion and protection saline water intrusion.

SREX – CASE STUDIES Suggested Case studies structure: Emergency coordination; needs assessment, accountability, emergency interventions, delivery process, recovery interventions, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and lessons learned. Contribution from NGOs mainly through materials contribution of the Disasters Management and Climate change adaptation works in different regions in Vietnam.

Progress sofar - Materials collected from NGOs -Casestudy structure has been drafted and discussed among core groups. -Case Study structure has been discussed with IMHEN, MONRE.
