Intro of Bonita Burton-Washington

Who I am, professional background &experience, and personal interest. Hello my name is Bonita Burton-Washington. I am mother of three age 28,26, and 24. I also have two grandchildren age 10 months and 1 month. I also just celebrated my first year of marriage to my Boaz. We have two sons age 22 and 9. The 9 year old is non-verbal and has Autism. He is the life of the family. My professional background and experience is I work as a paraprofessional at Central High School for 10 years. I have been working in education field for almost 19 years. My job experience is Education, Custom Service, and Travel & Tourism. My interest is to graduate and open my own business; where I contract myself out to go on trips with the elders and disabled people.

Background as K-12 student/ lasting influence I attend a public school and graduated in I also have an associate degree in Early Childhood and BS in Elementary Education. I graduated from Ashford with a BA in Health Care Administration. My key experience is when I was in the ninth grade. My English teacher told me that I would never graduate from high school. This had a lasting impact on my life. This is what made me eager to finish high school and go on to get as many degrees as possible.

Degree Program/what it have on you MAED in Special Education My master degree will help me get my foot in the door to be able to teach K-12 grade Special Education students. It will also help me to be able to write successful IEP Plans and succeed in life.
