Write down as many science stories as you can think have that have recently been in the media. For each of the stories answer the following questions a) Have the stories caused public interest? b) Have the stories frightened the public? c) Has the reporting of the story been over the top/ unjustified?

Read all 3 reports relating to the MMR vaccine. They are taken from different sources. 1) BBC (More parents than ever in NI choose to give children MMR) 2) The Sun ( Why kids must have MMR jab) 3) The Telegraph (Measles cases double as doubts over MMR vaccine linger) Answer the following questions: a) For each article, list the concerns that have been raised. b) Based on your knowledge, do you think that the concerns are justified? c) Do you think that the reporting on the MMR vaccine has affected its’ uptake in children
