Personal Narrative Writing We all have stories to tell- How to tell your story

A Personal Narrative... is told from your point of view makes and supports a point or lesson is filled with precise detail uses vivid verbs and modifiers uses conflict and sequence, as does any story may use dialogue

Conclusion Paragraph Very much like other summary paragraphs we’ve written. Restate your theme and/or lesson learned. Really drive your theme home with a strong concluding sentence or zinger.

Scoring Rough Draft = 60 pts Revised Draft = 200 pts Scored using the PA writing rubric: –score of 1-4 in each domain –Focus, content, style, organization and conventions –Score out of 20 multiplied by 10
