2 |2 | DynaMed is an evidence-based clinical reference tool designed primarily for use by health care professionals at the point-of- care. Updated multiple times daily, DynaMed includes clinically organized evidence-based summaries for over 3,200 topics.

3 |3 | Study Findings Published in BMJ Study Objective Evaluate the ability of international point of care information summaries to update evidence relevant to medical practice Study Results The updating speed of DynaMed clearly led the others. Study Setting Top five point of care information summaries (Clinical Evidence, DynaMed, EBMGuidelines, eMedicine, UpToDate) ranked for coverage of medical conditions, editorial quality and evidence-based methodology. 6 |6 | Set Up a Topic Alert View the DynaMed topic Click the bell icon on the toolbar on the right

7 |7 | User enters address and clicks “Create Alert” Alert frequency defaults to “Once a Day”. A future release will also include “Once a Week” and “Once a Month” options Set Up a Topic Alert

8 |8 | A confirmation message displays indicating that a message has been sent to the address provided Set Up a Topic Alert

9 |9 | Verify Alert An is immediately sent to the address provided The user must click on the “Verify this DynaMed Alert Request” link to complete the alert set up process.

10 | Receive Alert alerts are sent once a day for topics updated on the previous day Users can click on the topic title link to go directly to DynaMed and view the topic

11 | Remove Alert Every alert includes a link to remove the alert. This can be done in just one click.
