Righteous Family

Islam aims at nurturing a righteous family which is a major contributor for the foundation of a righteous society. To have a righteous family, we need a collection of righteous individual within the sphere of the family

Recommendation of Marriage Why does Islam recommend marriage? To complete his other half Birth, because marriage is a major factor in the existence of human kind “and God has given you wives of your own kind, and has given you from your wives, sons and grandsons and made provision of good things for you. Is it then you believe in vanities, and are ungrateful for God’s blessings” Surat Al-Nahl:72 Makes man lawful

Marriage is a way of preserving religion and happiness. Marriage is a major factor in creating and structuring societies. Strengthens social and societal links. Devotion and structured life style Marriage is one of the four kinds of happiness states by Allah (SWT) – A good wife – Spacious dwelling – A good neighbor – Comfort

What should a righteous family have? Kindness towards one another. Trust between husband and wife. Help, team work and love. A family needs to act as a body

Islam emphasizes on the establishment of a good and righteous society, the same way it emphasizes on the righteousness of man and his family.

Righteous society is considered a major foundation of a society

Principal Values A good society in islam is made up of: – Faith – Equality – Respect – Honor – Kindness – Good deeds – Piousness – Virtue of charicter

Righteous humanity is easily defined by the word MUSLIM, which means “the one that submits to God’s teaching and commandments that lead to peace”

Many forget the value of the 5 pillars of Islam, which are: 1- Shahadatain 2- As-salat (Praying) 3- Al- sawm (Fasting) 4- Al- zakat (Charity) 5- Haj beit Allah (pilgrimage) If each individual tried to perfect these simple acts, then we will be stronger as a society.

These simple words explain so much, you need to change who you are to be able to change humanity {Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they [first] change that which is in their hearts…} (Ar-Ra’d 13:11)

The upbringing of human beings is an essential aspect in the creation of a righteous humanity, family and schools should provide an atmosphere that can help children prosper and become pious adults. To achieve these, we need to follow: 1.Islamic education – If this is achieved, individuals themselves will stand up for what is right and oppose what is wrong. 2.Education – This helps broaden the mind on different aspects of life and helps create a mind that can critically think, instead of just following instructions or accepting “fitnah” – We need to note that Muslims were at great power in the golden ages, when a scholar at that time was educated in different aspects and not only one thing. 3.Role models – We need to keep remembering how the Prophet (PBUH) lived and what values he followed, and should try to follow in that pace

Righteous Economy

When all the following steps of righteousness are completed, then comes the last. The economical righteousness

We cannot have economic righteousness without having individual (man/woman) and collective (family, society and state) righteousness

O you who have believed, when you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down. And let a scribe write [it] between you in justice. Let no scribe refuse to write as Allah has taught him. So let him write and let the one who has the obligation dictate. And let him fear Allah, his Lord, and not leave anything out of it. But if the one who has the obligation is of limited understanding or weak or unable to dictate himself, then let his guardian dictate in justice. And bring to witness two witnesses from among your men. And if there are not two men [available], then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses - so that if one of the women errs, then the other can remind her. And let not the witnesses refuse when they are called upon. And do not be [too] weary to write it, whether it is small or large, for its [specified] term. That is more just in the sight of Allah and stronger as evidence and more likely to prevent doubt between you, except when it is an immediate transaction which you conduct among yourselves. For [then] there is no blame upon you if you do not write it. And take witnesses when you conclude a contract. Let no scribe be harmed or any witness. For if you do so, indeed, it is [grave] disobedience in you. And fear Allah. And Allah teaches you. And Allah is Knowing of all things.

Make sure that as a Muslim all your transactions are halal and abiding with the Islamic views in the Quran, Hadith and Sunna.
