Assignment 3 Websites

Calling all computer experts!  Your challenge is to create the home page and 3 pages of a website aimed at students \or young adults. You can specify a gender, or aim at both  This should be on a topic that will interest them and set out in an engaging, creative way.  You should source as many images yourself as you can and think about the quality and content of these images  You will need to use both images and copy on your website and the pages would be thematically linked and show a house style that matches your topic.

What My Website is About  My website will be about games and there reviews there would be in game play photos and front cover photos also my opinion on the games and how they work. The price range would be included and if it is worth it as well as any additional information  My target audience will be E class on the IBS this is because students from a young age would like to play games and they are cheap so people with the lowest income wouldn’t mind playing them they would be from as this is around the age of gaming.  The demographic profile of my target audience is people with an income bracket status of an E and living in urban areas all races this is because games are sold in very urban areas and are advertised there meaning more people from that area would take notice  The psychographic profile of my target audience is mainstreamers,belivers, Fun/ Atcis this is because all of these three categories all consist of fun young students with low income and lots of time meaning gaming would take up there time and to speak and play with friends  The uses & gratifications for the reader is entertainment this is because games are used is free time and are very time consuming for a younger age person

Website Titles Gaming Central- I like this title the most as it has a very catchy name that wont be forgotten and it self explains itself so when the viewer gets on to the website they know what the website is going to be about. The connotations of the website is that its to find and search about games from all different platforms and that you would go there to know if the game is right for you. The disadvantage of this title is that you would have to have a lot of information from every game as it is the central for gaming. Games Games Games- I looked at this name as a contender for my main title but the connotations are children's games as it is very repetitive the advantages are that it makes it name bold for repeating and people would obviously know the website for gaming. The disadvantages are that more older teenager would not think there would be games for there age as it is a very childish name World Of Gaming – I also looked at this name for my website but it didn’t work as it sounds like a name of one game not a title for the whole website. The advantages are it is very known for as a gaming website but on the other hand it sounds more like one game and not a website also it isn't as easy to remember as Gaming Central Fun Gaming- This was the last title I looked at and it was also a very close contender but as I looked through it shows that it sounds very childish and only children would want to go to the site on the other hand it is very easy to remember and you wouldn’t forget it if you went to the site before

Themes  In the top left I have pick a science fiction based theme this is because it back up my website for a gaming central it also make the viewer know exactly what it is the second they arrive to the website advantages is it looks very futuristic and complements the photos I will be adding to the site. The top right was good for gaming but it didn’t appeal to the gamers age as it is very childish as well as the bottom left but it was good for making them know it was a gaming website the bottom right is a very fun and colourful page but it was not good for presenting the photo on the front cover as the layout was all wrong it would have been my first choice if the layout was better. The bottom right was also one of the best as it is very colourful and shows the art of the website but it is not very self explanatory as it only has colours of a rainbow so people wouldn’t know what they are going in to
