Rules and Information for Indoor

PSA Indoor Soccer Heading Rule Any time a player heads the ball not in the penalty arch, the restart is a direct free kick. If a player heads the ball in the penalty arch, the restart is a direct free kick from the top of the arch and the defending team may set up a wall. If the player denies a goal scoring opportunity by heading the ball, the restart is a penalty kick at the top of the arch without a wall. Effective immediately for all age groups!

Summer Soccer Timeline (Pre K – 12 th Grade)  Registration closed:May 16 th  Coaches Meetings:May 19 th  Conflicts Due: May 20 th by 9:00pm  Schedules Posted: May 27 th by 9:00pm in your MySam Account  Season:June 3 rd – August 14 th (No games July 1 st – 4 th ) *Not all teams will play the first weekend

Indoor Soccer Reminders 8 Game Season; No playoffs Games will be played on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) for Pre K Occasional Friday evenings may be used to resolve conflicts Games can be played Wednesday – Sunday for K-HS No outdoor food or drink allowed inside building Game Balls Size Pre K – Futsal Ball Kinder – 2 nd Grade – Size 3 3 rd – 6 th Grade – Size 4 7 th Grade – High School – Size 5

Indoor Soccer Reminders Players must wear shin guards covered by socks Tennis shoes or Indoor shoes only; NO CLEATS ALLOWED Pinnies will be available at the scorekeepers table if both teams show up in the same color; Home team must put them on ONLY badged coaches allowed on the sideline/bench area

Indoor Soccer Reminders Games start on time No warm-up time is allocated between games Rosters will be provided at scorers table Referee & Game ball is provided 2 x 18 minute run-time halves; 2 minutes between halves (Pre K) 2 x 20 minute run-time halves; 2 minutes between halves (Kinder – HS) Substitutions on-the-fly Player must be off before sub comes on Coaches must be off field during games Goalie may be substituted at a stoppage (K – HS) Pre K Teams: please keep players off of blue tubes No Sliding!

Game Locations Plano Leagues  Games played indoors Saturdays, Sundays, and weeknights.  Any games scheduled for Plano teams at PSA Murphy or PSA McKinney will be weekends only. Murphy Leagues  Games played indoors Saturdays, Sundays, and weeknights.  If there are not enough Murphy teams to create a league in a certain grade, teams may play in Plano, weekends only. McKinney Leagues  Games played indoors Saturdays, Sundays, and weeknight evenings.  If there are not enough McKinney teams to create a league in a certain grade, teams may play in Plano, weekends only.

Rental Guidelines Coaches may rent the turf based on availability by calling PSA Front Desk All rentals can only be made one week in advance Mini turf - $25 hour (Only available at PSA 1 – 6500 Preston Meadow, Plano TX 75024) (Only available for Pre K & Kindergarten Teams) Full turf - $100/hour All based on availability and game schedules
