What do you think of making New Year’s resolutions? What are the most common resolutions for people planning to improve themselves?

Watch the New Year’s Resolutions song: Do you agree with the first four paragraphs or with the last two?

Replace resolutions with something a bit more useful: Three words for 2016

Pick any three words that will guide you in your choices for They should be words that challenge yourself, guide your actions and help you take decisions. e.g. ASK DO SHARE They might prompt you to: Ask more questions or ask if you can help. Do more instead of plan more. Share what you learn.

It's perhaps easier now than ever before to make a good living.

A snob is anybody who takes a small part of you, and uses that to come to a complete vision of who you are. That is snobbery.

If there's one dominant emotion in modern society, that is envy.

There's a real correlation between a society that tells people that they can do anything, and the existence of low self-esteem.

Everybody, all politicians on Left and Right, agree that meritocracy is a great thing, and we should all be trying to make our societies really, really meritocratic.

You can't be successful at everything.

Let's make sure our ideas of success are truly our own.
