RLG Partnership: Research Information Management Programme “… this activity sets out to test a list of research support services with a variety of researchers. The list exemplifies a user-centered approach, with services that researchers should like because they can make their work easier and help them in maintaining their scholarly reputation. A working group will finalize the list of services and then test them with researchers. The goal is to identify what is wanted by researchers (and then to reflect on what we offer, what others offer, and what's missing)”.

RLG Partnership: List of Research Support Services provide dedicated space on a server & structure that space to organize notes, datasets, others' publications, presentations… help load it/back it up ensure remote access to data provide tools for group work and version control at the file level help manage research, tracking who is involved in which grant, which research is funded by which grant, and purchasing grant-funded equipment. help negotiate publication rights.

RLG Partnership: List of Research Support Services ensure work is disseminated broadly, quickly, and openly getting maximum impact for researcher and university authority work to ensure credit for work, despite the various forms of name used in indicating authorship keep personal bibliographies up-to-date provide a customizable personal web page facilitate inclusion in campus and disciplinary expert/ise databases preserve outputs in the institutional repository and facilitate inclusion in disciplinary repositories. ensure portability of work if researcher leaves the institution
