Activities of the Biology’s Department Studying Biodiversity A DAY AT THE ZOO

Former a water depot surrounded by gardens, today the Zoobotánico shows 200 different species of animals and more than 400 of plants. OUR ZOO, MORE THAN 55 YEARS OF HISTORY

This poster is about nocturnal birds of prey of the Iberian peninsula. On the left, an impressive bird: a Lammergeier. This bearded vulture is being reintoduced into the wild as part of a programme with our zoo’s cooperation. OWLS AND RELATIVES

The breeding of the Iberian lynx is one of the most important programs our zoo takes part in. We must bear in mind that the Spanish lynx is the most endangered cat species in the world. SAVE THE LYNX
