Objectives/Objetivos What students are going to learn for the day.  Students Know how to ask for name and know how to answer with 100% accuracy.  Students practice introductions using the following 2 courtesy expressions: “mucho gusto” and “igualmente”  Students get familiar with 3 daily greetings according to time of the day by using correctly 2 out of the 3 greetings as they greet each other.  Students learn tips to learn the language and useful 2 new useful expressions in class.

4 Tips to learn Spanish.  Use what you already know. Cognates.  You don’t need to know everything.  Make flash cards.  Use GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS.  HAVE FUN!!!

Introduction yourself and answer with courtesy: Hola! Como te llamas? When two young people meet they say: ---Hola!. Cómo te llamas? ---Me llamo Marta ? Y tú? ----Me llamo Dylan. Mucho gusto. ----Igualmente. When you are introduced to someone use COURTESY and say: mucho gusto. (pleased to meet you) You can answer: igualmente (likewise)
