Abraham loved God God tested Abraham He asked him to do something that was very difficult. Does anyone know what it was?

Abraham was ready and listening to God. He said, “Here I am.” God said, “Take your only son, whom you love and offer him as a sacrifice on a mountain that I will show you.”

Abraham arose early, he was going to follow God. (No matter what the cost.) He gathered the wood and the fire and took some men and his son with him for the long trek. After three days the Lord showed him which mountain he was to make the sacrifice.

Isaac said, “Father, I see the wood and the fire for the offering, but where is the lamb?” Abraham said, “My son, God will provide a lamb.”

At the last moment just as Abraham lifted the knife to slay his son…..

Do not lay your hand on your son or do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son.
