INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

DEVELOPMENT: TAMMY XU ▪ Prepare analysts in the investment side with adequate investing knowledge. Ex. know how to go through financial statements and spot key factors; ▪ Provide general members with necessary information for internship/full-time job search, by having discussions about current news and economy; ▪ Make sure officers are equipped with necessary technical interview resources. For instance, know how to go through DCF or M&A models.

PUBLIC RELATIONS: EILEEN HUANG ▪ To build professional connections for members in RUFC; ▪ To communicate with school officials about the status of the club and keep them updated about upcoming events; ▪ To expand and sustain RUFU in the long term. When someone asks the question: What can I do at Rice to prepare for the financial services industry? Rice Finance should be the first thing that they think of.

MARKETING: DREW SUTHERLAND ▪ Market Rice Finance in a way that attracts Rice students from all academic areas; ▪ Generate campus-wide awareness of our organization's existence and what it has to offer; ▪ Run a highly efficient marketing team that promotes Rice Finance events on time, professionally, and in so doing, generate high attendance.

LOGISTICS: TONY & ARA ▪ Maintaining efficient and clear communications between officers/board members; ▪ Coordinating events, competition details, and organizing general meetings; ▪ Keeping records on task distributions and progress of events ▪ Creating Quarterly Strategy Reports, involving analyzing and organizing the Investment Fund's financial data;

FUND STRUCTURE

SECTORS ▪ The Sector Directors shall each lead a group of Senior Analysts and Analysts ▪ The five sectors are: ▪ Energy ▪ TMT ▪ Industrials ▪ Healthcare ▪ Consumer Retail ▪ Each sector is responsible for presenting and putting together investment pitch books for: ▪ The Fund’s Board of Upper Management ▪ Allison Thacker, the CIO of the Rice Management Company

ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES ▪ Conduct marketing research for their sector ▪ Build extensive financial models ▪ Create neat and informative pitch decks ▪ Present portions of their research to the Investment Board and advise them on matters pertaining to their Sector ▪ LEARN A TON ▪ How to evaluate a company through its financial statements ▪ How to analyze industries and a company’s position in it ▪ Much, much more
