Presentation transcript:

Doylestown Health has been caring for expectant mothers for more than 90 years. Our beautifully updated VIA Maternity Center provides a comfortable, homelike setting for your birth experience.

Our comprehensive Prenatal Testing Center offers ultrasounds, non-stress tests, genetic counseling and advanced screenings. Care for high-risk pregnancies is provided on-site by experienced maternal fetal medicine specialists (perinatologists).

Expectant mothers can enter the hospital through the Emergency department.

Convenient parking is located outside of the Emergency department or next to it in the parking garage.

Family and friends are welcome to wait in our comfortable family waiting room which includes a television, children’s play area, and access to free Wi-Fi.

Approximately 1,300 babies are born every year at Doylestown Hospital. Our highly skilled clinical team provides the full continuum of care, including obstetric care, prenatal care, newborn infant care and postpartum care.

Our Labor and Delivery rooms create a peaceful environment to help expectant mothers feel relaxed and comfortable during the birth experience.

Warm color schemes, comforting textures, natural light, and a thoughtful layout promote well-being and ensure efficient care.

You can have peace of mind knowing that we are equipped to help families with higher than normal risk related to multiple births, maternal age and medical risk factors.

For mothers delivering via C-section, our newly expanded C-section suite provides two fully-equipped operating rooms within the maternity unit.

Our certified nurse midwives provide care for those interested in a low-intervention birth experience, tending to each woman’s unique physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Parents with healthy babies are encouraged to “room in” with their newborn for important bonding time. However, our staff is happy to care for your baby in the newborn nursery if you need time to alone to rest.

Our expanded Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed 24/7, including round-the-clock coverage by neonatologists from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and equipped to provide exceptional care to premature or sick newborns.

Our 22 beautifully renovated, all-private postpartum rooms provide a comfortable place for mothers to recover after delivery.

Our caring, compassionate providers are here to support you and your newborn. You can remain in the comfort of your private room while our experienced pediatricians, physicians, midwives and newborn nurses care for you and your baby.

Our Mother-Baby Couplet Program ensures that the same team of nurses cares for you and your baby, creating a reassuring and comforting environment during your hospital stay.

Family and friends are welcome to visit you during your stay. Visiting hours are from Noon to 8 pm. Anyone over the age of 14 and siblings of any age may visit. Your support person can visit anytime and may stay overnight.

Lactation consultants are available seven days a week to help you learn to breastfeed. Doylestown Health has received the IBCLC Care Award for staffing professionals who hold the prestigious International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®) certification.

Bella Baby Photography is available for free, private professional photo sessions in patients’ rooms. There is no pressure for sales and family and friends are welcome to view the photos online.

Doylestown Hospital’s Gift Shop, located in the North Lobby, offers an assortment of fresh cut flowers, gifts, and goodies to welcome your new little bundle of joy.

The Well Bean Café, conveniently located in the Main Lobby, serves gourmet coffee, refreshing beverages, pastries, sandwiches and snacks.
