What Do You Need To Work On To Structure An Impressive About Us Page?

In the face of doing fierce content marketing, many entrepreneurs often forget the importance of exhaustive marketing efforts that involve every aspect of online marketing. The biggest mistake people make is considering content marketing as blogs and articles written and published on the site and across different media channels. Committing this mistake means ignoring many opportunities that can seriously contribute to effective content marketing and business generation. What is often overlooked is the fact that on-site “About us” page has the marketing potential to influence interested visitors. Being the most visited section, “About us” page helps build strong first impression. This is where they come to learn more about your company and the people behind the brand. A customer looks here before they start to take your business (or the idea of collaborating with it) seriously.

Compelling account of history Narrate the story of your history – achievements, awards, recognition, and beginning – in a briefest possible way. Explain how you learned in this business and why you are here. Why not make a different approach for communicating your company history? Give visitors a slightly emotional, logical and realistic ride through its happy past. Show them what inspires you and what has brought you in this business. Shape your track record in the layers of the major highlights and milestones that you surpassed. Turn it into vivid visuals that appear captivating to viewers. Don’t fill it with overwhelming text as it will drag them to the ground of repugnance and discomfort.

Brand building This is a crucial part, since any attempt of exaggeration may put you in the wrong spot where you begin to repel your future prospects. Be an outstanding but be original and sensible in your branding approach. Try to convey your brand’s voice without being too arrogant or grandiloquent. Conserve your words and stick to your core intention to avoid any instance of misinterpretation. If you have a one liner, use it in a way that saves you the bother of excessive verbal circumlocution meant for branding. Include stunning visuals and maintain conciseness.

Vision, belief and future goals There must be something that makes you unique and sets you apart from other individual competitors. Tell and sell the world the statement that gives them reason to choose you over others. Compose an “About us” page that is tailored to impart your belief to people who read it. What do you see in the future for your company? Share your goals and what you want to achieve out of your business efforts. Let them take interest in your work and products without making it too long to read. Make the message as short yet presentable as possible. Make sure what you write does convey its meaning to viewers.

Staff and team strength The "About Us"is also about what keeps your moral passion alive, elements that drive you slowly towards your goal. Describe about the people that make your dreams come true. Try to instill the spirit of personalization and share the most personal story of your staff to make your details more credible. Avoid the context of firmness, formality and strict as it won’t look credible. One way of doing this is to express the honest account of your company environment and employee working style and quality. Originally published at:
