Description of theme-(Teen Violence) Teen violence- when someone under the age of 21 or above the age of 12 acts upon someone or something to disrupt or disturb the person or thing. Many causes can control why teens cause violence.

Theme cont. Where it can occur? Most of teen violence occurs in schools or in public parks sometimes “the streets”. What drives Teen Violence? Rivalry Parenting issues Home problems Social Status Love

Teen Violence in Romeo & Juliet Mercutio is killed only because of a family rivalry Paris is killed only because he is in Romeo’s way of getting to Juliets tomb Tybalt is also killed because he killed Mercutio

Teen Violence in Romeo & Juliet Continued So obviously there is a lot of unnecessary teenage violence in Romeo and Juliet Three people are killed just because of love and rivalry

Description of research topic- (Teen Gangs) Research question- how does teenage violence effect the lives of modern Americans? Teens that don’t get involved in violence still get effected by it. Every teen is effected by it because it gives teens a Bad image.

Linking research to R & J Our Topic was Teen Violence & Gangs. Some examples in Romeo and Juliet that show Teen Violence & Gangs is: When the families get in fights. We picked teen violence for Romeo and Juliet because their was plenty of fuding between the familes.

Linking research to R & J

Linking Research to American Teenagers In today’s society there are a lot of gangs who like to share drugs with each other In high school it isn’t uncommon to see or hear about a kid who does drugs These drugs may cause violence and make school unsafe

Linking Research to American Teenagers Not all teenagers like everybody, they tend to dislike people and cause rivalries The tension can rise and eventually lead to teen violence In some extreme cases death can be involved (that is not good)

Conclusion Our thesis statement: How does teen Age violence Effect the lives of American teens. Teen violence does not include all teens but give an image for them. We conclude that most teens are not disobedient.
