Moraine Valley Community College Located in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois Established 1967 Second largest community college in Illinois Three campuses: Main campus in Palos Hills, Education Center in Blue Island, and Southwest Education Center in Tinley Park Fall 2013 enrollment of approximately 18,000 students Offer 100+ degree and certificate programs

Background Set a goal to establish a comprehensive advising model that would provide consistent information to all students and consider the needs of at risk students Recognized benefit of sending a team to NACADA Summer Institute and requested Title III funding to attend Developed outline for the Academic Advising syllabus during the Summer Institute Brought draft back to campus to collaborate with the department staff
