USPHS Eligibility Requirements US citizenship. Minimum two-year commitment. Physical examination. Suitability investigation. Must be under 44 years old at the time of commissioning — age waivers are considered.

USPHS Special Payment Bonuses Dentists are eligible for special pay bonuses including: o Accession Bonus –$75,000 with a four-year active duty contract. o Variable Special Pay –Paid monthly, ranges from $3,000 to $12,000 annually based on years of creditable service. o Additional Special Pay (paid to all dental officers) –Up to $15,000 annually based on a one-year contract.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Mission To protect America by providing health care and public health services in support of immigration law enforcement.
Overview The ICE Health Service Corps: o Serves as the medical authority for the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). o Consists of more than 900 USPHS Commissioned Corps officers, federal civil servants and contract support staff.

The ICE Health Service Corps: o Provides direct medical health care to approximately 15,000 detainees housed at 24 designated facilities throughout the nation. o Oversees medical and dental care provided to an additional 17,000 detainees housed at non-ICE Health Service Corps staffed detention facilities across the country.
