Economic Effects of the Civil War  What did the government do to help the U.S. Economy in the North?  Helped fund business and railroads  Created an improved banking system  National Banking Act of 1863

How did the war effect the Nrth and the South? North Economy boomed  Industry produced different kinds of goods for war and for people South Economy collapsed  Slave labor systems was destroyed Effects of Tecumseh’s march  Farms lay in ruins  Industry and railroads were destroyed.
