 Despite the increased emphasis on wellness, the fight against unhealthy lifestyle choices is far from over  Childhood obesity is a formidable threat to the well- being of an entire generation of young people  Diabetes, heart disease, asthma, high blood pressure, and cancer are linked to childhood obesity  Childhood obesity results in psychological and emotional repercussions as well Chapter 4: Your Body and Wellness3
