What major political parties do you know?

Major political parties Democratic Party The U.S. Democratic Party is one of two big political parties in the United States. Supporters of this party are known as Democrats.

Republican Party The United States Republican Party is one of the two biggest political parties in the United States of America.

The Republican Party was founded in Ripon, Wisconsin, in 1854 The Republican Party was founded in Ripon, Wisconsin, in 1854. Its formation was based around opposition to the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854, which would allow each territory to allow slavery if they wanted to The first Republican candidate for president was John C. Fremont in 1856.

Not all Republicans believe in all of the same things, but generally these are the things many Republicans support: the 2nd Amendment (oppose gun control) the death penalty, rather than a life sentence the U.S. having a strong military. the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. a school voucher system (the government giving money to parents who send their kids to private school)

capitalism, laissez faire or supply-side economics oppose illegal immigration less government control of the economy less government spending lower taxes for everyone oppose government run health care the 9th and 10th Amendments (the federal government should have less power over the states) abortion should be illegal or restricted freedom of religion oppose same-sex marriage

The Green Party of the United States (GPUS ) is a national US American political party founded in 1991 as a voluntary association of state green parties.

Their "Ten Key Values," which are described as non-authoritative guiding principles, are as follows: Grassroots democracy Social justice and equal opportunity Ecological wisdom Nonviolence Decentralization Community-based economics Feminism and gender equality Respect for diversity Personal and global responsibility Future focus and sustainability

The Libertarian Party  Party is the third largest  and fastest growing political party in the United States.

The Libertarian Party was formed in Westminster, Colorado, in the home of David Nolan on December 11, 1971. The formation was prompted in part by theVietnam War, conscription, and the end of the Gold Standardo.  The first Libertarian National Convention was held in June, 1972

The Libertarian Party is the first party to earn an electoral vote for a woman. In the 1972 Presidential Election John Hospers ran for president on the Libertarian ticket, with his running mate, Tonie Nathan (a woman). Each earned one electoral vote in that election, making history.

The Constitution Party Party is a paleoconservative political party in the United States. It was founded as the U.S. Taxpayers' Party by Howard Philipsin 1991. The party's official name was changed to The Constitution Party in 1999

The Constitution Party advocates a platform which aims to reflect the principles of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, the Bible, and the Bill of Rights.
